The University of Pretoria, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, invites applications for the 2027 Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP). Since 2014, the programme has supported academically talented young Africans facing economic and social barriers to access quality higher education. Following the launch of Phase II in 2024, the programme continues to expand opportunities for young leaders committed to driving transformation across the continent.

OPPORTUNITY :Germany's shortage of skilled workers is being positioned as an opportunity for Namibia’s highly capable yet unemployed workforce through the TalentsBridge Programme, which aims to align training standards and facilitate skills transfer between the two countries.
Speaking at the launch of the TalentsBridge Programme in Windhoek on Thursday, President of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and TalentsBridge Chairman, Sebastian Stietzel, said the initiative will start with 100 trainees in Industrial Electrical, Hospitality, and Wholesale and Retail, with guaranteed employment pathways in either Namibia or Germany upon completion.
The programme is being implemented in partnership with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, as well as local and German businesses.
