Calling the entire scene “rape” completely ignores what actually happened. Pheem forcing those kisses was wrong—full stop. But Pan subsequently kissing her back was her own choice. The scene depicts a toxic, mutually charged attraction; it is NOT presenting their dynamic as healthy or something to imitate. FICTION is allowed to be MESY.

And the inability of some FANS to separate FICTION from REALITY is genuinely baffling. Not every lesbian story needs to live in a pink universe of roses, chocolate and perfectly wholesome relationships. Lesbian characters can be toxic, obsessive, morally complicated and completely unhinged too. A fictional depiction of something unhealthy is not an endorsement of it. It’s FICTION.

And honestly? The fact that ONE scene has caused this much chaos, discourse and engagement only proves how insanely effective LENA’s performance was. Her acting made the dynamic feel visceral enough to have everyone arguing about it. That level of impact doesn’t happen when a performance is forgettable. LENA absolutely made this scene LOUD. 🔥
