This is an irrelevant, temporary status is temporary status. They had time 16 years to get the necessary paperwork to become permanent citizens, if they didn’t do that that is not on black Americans white American Asian Americans whoever they didn’t go get legal status for whatever reason not saying all of them, so I’m quite sure some did and some became legal citizens, but for those that didn’t they were on temporary visas and it is a temporary visa just like any other country go to Thailand you’re on a temporary visa. You have to go get your visa renewed, and that country can tell you no we don’t want you to renew your visa. Every country has the right to approve or disapprove a person coming into their borders. That’s what a temporary visa is so this whole argument is irrelevant they should’ve done what they had to do to get permanent status. This isn’t about race or black Americans against Haitian people there was always a time clock on this.

I don’t care ever other country in the world has the same laws and enforced them vigorously, we our one of the few countries that has had a relaxed attitude regarding enforcement, i can not go to another country and overstay, or make permanent residency, temporary visa or order of stay without trying to apply and receiving permanent status its the law
