@89WLS@CoachSwit What will happen, as it probably should, the size and scale of “travel ball” will shrink. Seasons will be compressed to “league style” schedules (weekends, night games, etc)
Scrimmages and “friendlys” will become more prevalent.
And the same kids that move on will still do so
@CoachSwit IMO, it’s largely b/c HS is becoming the back-seat to club ball. HS Coaches are paid peanuts, so they have to coach/manage club teams to survive. No chemistry or allegiance then becomes the norm when you get to Spring. No viable “leagues” once they move to the full size diamond.
@united - the meal voucher you sent for my nearly 7 hour delayed flight (UA2834) isn’t working because the CVV is invalid on the voucher - good effort but poor execution - how do I use this?
@ZaneTaylor33@Exiled_axe ‘On the average’ - yes. Avg 2nd line guy at a mid-major hockey program is a REALLY long ways off from a roster player in the National.
But NCAA guys come up and play in the NHL at the end of the season every year.
No NCAA ballplayers are jumping to MLB.
@JFreshHockey Ball (my home rink) does OK. MSG does a good job of this, too, at least in the 200s and up. The Saddledome probably wins, but that’s more because it has the lighting capacity of a prison (still love visiting) :)
@mjd_america@GovofCO From the press release: "The purchase was funded through Non-Simultaneous Exchange (NSE) proceeds—funds generated from prior trust-land dispositions that must be reinvested into new properties within two years. "
@evanrawal Would have been great to see it live, but @AltitudeTV cut away to an extraneous commercial right when Nate passed it off to Cale…but 88 is just on fire
@deejayakoni@Zadddy85@still_boneless If the government is taking 30%+ of your paycheck, congrats, you’re in the top 5% of earners in the country - grossing north of $500,000 a year
@WorldPromoAd @catturd2 More to the point - The quota (established by the USMCA - which Trump himself negotiated and signed as the nafta replacement, mind you) has never been reached. Ever.
@Barrberic@dieworkwear It would, but 99% of the reason would be that US demand would drop due to pricing (and at the same time deployment of automated handling equipment will continue to accelerate)
The vast majority of intl-sourced soft goods sold outside of NAM by US brands never touches a US DC.
@datsfreedombaby@megynkelly What entity do you think funds Changi airport (SIN)? And, there are exactly zero domestic flights from Changi…it is the ONLY commercial airport in the nation. There are 6M people in Singapore. 2% of the US population. Basically Philadelphia.
Scale matters.
@Mimimouse37@momq0550@CubanistaGirl@Graham_Mark_E Have you ever crossed the US/CA border? Have you ever spoken to or even read about what their Border Services agency does? If not, go and report back
In any event - the term ‘close the border’ by itself means ‘closed’, no people or goods move across either way. Be better
