🚨 Alan Shearer on Erling Haaland reaching 300 club goals:
🗣️ Shearer: “I sometimes listen to the conversations around Haaland and think we’ve completely lost our minds.
People will tell you he only had this many touches, he didn’t create enough chances, he needs to be more involved in the build-up. Okay. Then somebody crosses the ball into the penalty area and there’s a defender practically hanging off him, and somehow Haaland is still the one heading it into the net.
That’s his job.
I watched the goal today and I’m not even sure Semenyo has to look up and think, ‘I need to put this exactly on Erling’s head.’ With some strikers you have to find them. With Haaland, put a good ball into the area and he’ll try to find you.
That sounds simple until you remember every defender knows exactly what he’s trying to do.
They know he wants to get across them. They know he wants the space between centre back and goalkeeper. They know if the ball goes into that area he’s probably attacking it.
And he still gets there.
That’s what 300 goals tells you.
There was another moment today where he gets contact in the box and could probably make much more of it. He stays up and carries on trying to get to the ball.
I like that about him. His first thought always seems to be, ‘Can I still score?’ Not, ‘Can I get a penalty here?’
People can debate whether he’s the most complete striker, whether he should touch the ball more, whether he should create more. Those are fair conversations.
But he’s now scored against 24 of the 25 Premier League teams he’s faced. The only one left is Sunderland, and unfortunately for Sunderland, he plays them in two weeks.
At some point you stop asking what else a goalscorer should be doing and appreciate that you’re watching somebody who has made scoring goals look far more normal than it actually is.”

Constance Fisher drowned her three children in a bathtub in 1954.
Mental hospital. Declared better. Released.
Husband stayed. They had three more kids.
She drowned those three too.
Same house. Same bathtub. Same excuse. Six dead children because a system treated a child killer like a patient who just needed time.
That is the whole argument. Not “was she sad.” Not “did she hear voices.” What happens after you let them out, and who pays for it the second time.
Lindsay Clancy strangled her three kids. People are already writing her a sympathy card and calling prison cruel. Cruel is three little bodies. Cruel is doing it once and getting a path back to freedom. Cruel is pretending history didn’t already run this experiment and lose six kids.
Mental illness can explain how someone gets there. It does not give you a free murder. It does not entitle you to more children. And it does not require the rest of us to wait around and see if the next round dies too.
If you kill your kids, you don’t get to be a mother again. You don’t get a soft landing and a second family. Life without parole. Lock the door. Stop experimenting on other people’s children and making excuses.
Convict her. Convict those who harm children. Period.
Qatar at NO point banned gays from entering their country.
They just said, public display of affection between anyone including straight people was frowned upon.
The US is systematically targeting anyone that isn't white.
Not a single peep from those anti-Qatar activist 👍
standards at city are ridiculous rn. folks are calling it a failure for not winning a domestic treble
something that’s only ever been done once in english football history, by city
