Nigerian Twitter has really fallen off when it comes to meaningful discussions and how we approach issues.

A blogger posts a video of a law student participating in a moot court, and instead of discussing his performance, people have turned turned it into an opportunity to mock his looks.

At this point, it feels like the only things people are interested in on this app are celebrity fights, relationship drama, insults, and other unnecessary controversies.

We’ve gradually lost the ability to have intelligent conversations without turning everything into mockery and entertainment.

One downside of being significantly richer than your guys is that they become sycophants.

They stop criticising you because they risk losing your goodwill, more so if you develop an ego on account of that financial asymmetry

as is usually the case.

And when your guys stop being critically honest with you, you lose one of the most valuable sources of honest feedback, mistake that absence of objection for validation and eventually bring your unchallenged nonsense to the internet.
