@virginmedia @RikHeywood The fact that this is standard on every call is poor service. Have you considered hiring enough staff to ensure customers can actually get through? It’s unacceptable to be waiting as long as it takes to get through. Not good for your advisors to deal with the fallout either

@mickharkin68531 @MartinSLewis Outsourced companies share exactly the same systems as the company use themselves. Data protection laws don’t prevent this as it’s not really sharing data. Outsourcing wouldn’t exist if there was an issue with DPA/GDPR how would you integrate work streams?

@SullyDrummer @MartinSLewis …also with VM it’s not a renewal. Your discounts tend to drop off at the end of your contract. It then goes to full price and you have a rolling contract. An awful way to do business but they make a fortune out of those who don’t call in to get a new contract with discounts

@SullyDrummer @MartinSLewis …because retentions have access to deal codes that the other call handlers don’t have. The best thing is to never accept anything they’re offering you. Tell them you’d like to stop the services and you’ll get a call with a better deal than even retentions can offer you
