i 100% agree with this.

your 'sound' as a producer/musician comes from your unconscious repeated patterns in the melodic choices you lean toward, the sounds / rhythms you most prefer, etc.

its hard to see that w/o creating a huge volume of work first, even if a lot of it sucks
