Say what you will about the death penalty. The life of a man who rapes and kills anyone, let alone a 93 year old woman, is not worth saving, much less *celebrating* that it was saved.

There have been people on death row who verifiably never actually killed anyone - their lives are worth defending. I would even say that the scores of people on death row for killing someone during a robbery gone sideways don’t deserve the death penalty.

While we’re on the subject, I do think all drugs should be decriminalized, but I no longer think they should all be legalized. Think about how many ppl will refuse to do a drug on the principle of it being illegal and look at how bad of a chokehold legal sports betting has now

Sometimes I think we should be tough on crime. We should be tough on prevention, intervention, and rehabilitation first. But lax treatment of crime is probably the easiest way to get a democrat or non voter to swing republican. Inb4 “voting does nothing” ya gotta start somewhere
