i haven’t cried after hearing a new artist’s work in a long time, and when i heard postgrad by svn4vr i immediately broke into tears. it made me see life through an entirely new lens that i think people really need to see, appreciating the umtarnished beauty in the little things
intricacies and meticulous production serves its great purpose, but people need stripped, poignant, raw emotion, and svn4vr is really the only artist in the last few months that has truly scratched that itch for me that’s been so hard to relieve.
i think svn4vr’s music is so important for everyone to hear right now, especially in such an oversaturated and paralyzing world we live in where it’s harder than ever to be satiated by what you consume.
RIP D’Angelo, don’t even know what to say. Three timeless albums, each one an incredible expansion of his sound—a peerless, flawless discography. It wouldn’t even be crazy to say he released the best album of the 90s, the 2000s, and the 2010s. One of our greatest artists.
