Yara Sluiskil investeert 194 miljoen euro in baanbrekend CCS-project. Vanaf 2026 zal @yarabenelux jaarlijks 800.000 ton CO2 naar Noorwegen exporteren voor opslag. Met 30 miljoen euro subsidie ondersteunt het kabinet deze cruciale stap naar 1,5 miljoen ton CO2-reductie tegen 2030.
4. Bottom line: Distortions and externalities must be dealt with primarily by the state. The room for firms to deviate from profit maximization is limited. Handling the problem to firms is more likely to lead to words rather than action, to greenwashing than to actual progress.
