When a close friend treated @Sunnybrook passed in 2015, I painted this in her honour as part of the existing ceiling tile program. It sits in the Odette cancer centre and provides a distraction and form of therapy for patients undergoing cancer treatment....

In awe of @BGrantonArtist's tile - what a stunning contribution to our project. Our aim: bring art into the wards of @Sunnybrook in honour of unbelievable frontline workers. Sponsor this tile/others, or make a small contribution (funds to COVID-19 efforts at Sunnybrook)
"These paintings are dedicated to the nurses who sat at the foot of my bed, removed the tubes and cared for me during my five-day stay. I do not remember their names or know their faces as I have little recollection of my time at Sunnybrook, but their care will not be forgotten"
Meet Jim McKnight, one of our incredible artists, who was eager to create something beautiful as a tribute to frontline workers @Sunnybrook. Here he sits with his series "Butterflies", coming soon to a hospital ward near you!
"Most of us spend a lot of time in hospitals as patients or as visitors, and I have been both. It had to be visually accessible from all sides; no front, no back, no left, no right. The inspiration came to me very quickly.
What if I look up to the sky?"
