Kannada-medium schools in Karnataka were not destroyed by outsiders alone they were abandoned by the very people who claim to protect Kannada.

Politicians deliver speeches about Kannada pride, yet enroll their children and grandchildren in English-medium and international schools. Self-proclaimed Kannada activists demand that ordinary citizens study in Kannada while sending their own children abroad to build careers in other languages.

For decades, leaders spoke about preserving Kannada, but where is the investment in quality Kannada-medium education? Where are the world-class Kannada schools? Where are the policies that make Kannada a language of opportunity rather than just a political slogan?

If politicians and Kannada activists themselves do not trust Kannada for their own families, they have no moral right to lecture others about protecting the language.

Kannada will not be saved by slogans, protests, or emotional speeches. It will be saved only when those who claim to love the language lead by example.
