Ask someone with #LongCovid what is costs them. Ask the parents of a child with LC what it’s like helping a 15yo use the bathroom.

Weekly Covid-19 reports have been published in NSW & Vic. To put the figures in perspective, the combined number of 64,766 new reported cases is more than the national total up until Sept 2021. More than 2,000 in hospital in the 2 states. More than 3,000 will develop long Covid.

@MuddAnstey I think I’ll just take G to mine and pay so it’s not as long. Goodness knows how long the public waiting list is. I know it blew out when elective surgeries were postponed over the the last two years & is affecting so many women 😥

@MuddAnstey Our GP has G keeping a log tracking days & details over the next 3 months while we wait to see a gynae. Doesn’t appear to be any consensus why it’s happening, but seems to be quite prevalent (esp. in LC but my reading is targeted to LC w/G’s situation so it’s prob. far broader).

@MuddAnstey And the studies about effects on menstrual changes are …where? 15yo w/LC: third 7+ day period cycle in 5 weeks. Iron levels already at rock bottom & fatigue worsening.

@MuddAnstey I’m stunned and not sure which part is harder to read. 40+ hour wait at am ER? I can’t imagine the fear and stress the length of time waiting for *emergency* care would be causing! How did this blow out to almost 2 days and nothing is being done?

And the school/mask rule…WTF?
