You f**king people, ON BOTH SIDES, who have turned presidential candidates into celebrities are wiredos. You’re talking about politicians, like obsessive fans of actors, athletes, and singers. Elected officials are SUPPOSED TO BE PUBLIC SERVANTS (even though the private sector is who oftentimes pulls their puppet strings). Politicians are to be investigated, interrogated, and held accountable for their political actions. This obsessive political fandom leaves many of you blinded to their shortcomings and unwilling to admit and accept their failures.

This is that cult of personality mentality.

A cult of personality is a situation where a public figure is presented to the public as someone who should be admired, loved, and respected, no matter what they say or do. No matter how deadly and deeply disturbing their politics are, some will ignore it, and root for their team. It’s crazy to see it, and the Super Bowl of this sh*t show happens every four years in the United States.
