Clarksville tornado rated EF-3 (150 MPH winds). 600 yards wide. It traveled into KY.
Nashville-Hendersonville-Gallatin survey ongoing,
Tonight, Nashville endured heartbreaking loss.
We also suffered extensive damage in multiple parts of the city.
After reviewing with @NashvilleEOC, I’ve declared a state of emergency.
Crews are still out tonight. We will have more information tomorrow.

At this hour, first responders are assessing damage from a tornado that struck in areas of the northern part of our city in the early afternoon hours.
