That is most certainly not all he's saying. This is what he literally said:
“Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.”
The former president -- up for reelection in four days --was fantasized in public about the death of his chief critic. It's dangerous. And no additional context can make it better. He didn't say "firing squad" as Jonah correctly notes, but that's what he described.
For years, Trump has talked about getting revenge on his political opponents and advocated and defended violence. He's said they're more dangerous than America's enemies abroad. He's repeatedly called for them to be tried for treason. And, of course, he is responsible for the attacks on the Capitol and those who tried to defend it on January 6th.
Most of the Republicans who offered their unqualified condemnation of his words and actions on that day, are now telling us he needs to be reelected.
An utter disgrace.

Romney: Now, I know that the shock jocks and online instigators have riled up many in the far reaches of my party. But if your position is being cheered by Vladimir Putin, it's time to reconsider your position.
Which part of the Civil War “could have been negotiated”? The slavery part? The secession part? Whether Lincoln should have preserved the Union? Question for members of the GOP—the party of Lincoln—who have endorsed Donald Trump: How can you possibly defend this?
Will Hurd won the night: "Donald Trump is not running for president to make America great again. Donald Trump is not running for president to represent the people who voted for him in 2016 and 2020. Donald Trump is running to stay out of prison.” (Boos)…”
