24y/o swede who has no clue what to tweet about (with that being said I mainly retweet stuff from the autistic community) #ActuallyAutistic#REDinstead#BLM
@m0thpiss@starscreamfan22 From my understanding the gold and red infinity symbol is mainly in protest of A$ especially in April. The rainbow is still strictly ASD just not a symbol in response to A$. 🤷♀️
@lilririah and don’t assume student disability in your classroom always looks the same or is always physical. little kids can have ptsd, too. little kids can have anxiety + depression.
@autienelle Ovulation week and period week makes me super sensitive to meltdowns since I’m already on the edge due to the constant discomfort in my body. I will usually be found in the shower for hours during those hell days.
I think it's important to talk about the way Sia behaved towards autistic people on Twitter, and the behaviour she enabled from her fans, because it was more than just offensive. For many autistics, online spaces are our community, and her actions drove people off their accounts.
If I didn’t need Medicaid to survive, my partner and I would have gotten married more than a decade ago. Instead, we never got married and I probably don’t have a legal right to anything we’ve built together over the last 15 years if I leave him. #VowsYetPromised
Tw: grooming, ableism, sia
The reason why the autistic community has very much left Maddie alone in all of this, often making a point of reserving all criticism for Sia, is because we're unfortunately too well versed in being coerced and manipulated to not see what happened.
Yesterday I made a thread about how the caricature of autistic body language in Sia’s movie is harmful.
Some autistic people said the scenes made them feel ashamed of their own body language.
So I want you to see a few photos of me, and know that I’m not ashamed.
