‘My wife and I were greatly saddened to learn of the death of David Hockney O.M., a giant of the world of art and painting, a Yorkshireman through and through and a dear friend and inspiration to so many.
David was one of life’s true originals; one who wore his genius as lightly as those beloved yellow Crocs of his that helped brighten Palace occasions. I trust they will see him tread safely into the hereafter as we mourn a man whose irrepressible charm, talent and constant innovation will be most sorely missed, but whose dazzling creativity lives on in galleries and museums around the world.’

This is an outrageous, disgraceful smear on John Healey — and an outright lie. There are a ton of ways to finance more for defence — starting with net zero — without taking a penny from schools or hospitals. Reeves should be ashamed of herself for allowing this nonsense. Suggests she’s really desperate.

Ukraine is putting relentless pressure on Israel now. The Netanyahu government has made a catastrophic error by siding with Putin's dictatorial government.
Whatever the outcome of this committee hearing #Robbins is coming across as a brilliant civil servant - who is entirely in control of the facts, the sensitivity, the code and the principles of his job. And he is exposing the PM as a leader who either didnt grasp the facts, ignored smart advice - or has chosen to appear outraged when he should not have been.

Ferrari has released a new video of the interior for its first ever all-electric car, called the Ferrari Luce.
It was designed with Apple's former head of design, Jony Ive, who recently said "a large touchscreen doesn't work in a car."
Car info:
• Four-door four-seater
• 122 kWh battery
• 330 miles of range (European rating methods)
• 1,000 horsepower
• 0-60mph: Under 2.5s
• Four electric motors
• OLED screens
• Guess cluster screen is made up of several layers. By cutting out holes in the upper layers, Ferrari created displays where the speedometer graphic is below the level of a physical needle, which is itself behind additional drive info and beneath a curved inset lens.
• Will have fake gear shifts
• Weight: 5,100 lbs

Andrew Harnik has been awarded the White House Correspondents’ Association award for excellence in presidential news coverage by visual journalists for the following photo:
So far this week:
Trump threatened to wipe out a civilization on Tuesday.
Announced a ceasefire on Wednesday.
Israel leveled parts of Beirut on Thursday.
Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz, AGAIN.
Gulf states are still intercepting drones.
13 American service members are dead. Over 3,400 Iranians killed. 1,500 dead in Lebanon.
And this administration has the nerve to call this a win.
They light the world on fire and then take credit for calling the fire department.
Walker Smith served Waitrose loyally for 17 years.
Fed up with witnessing blatant shoplifting, he stepped in to stop a thief stealing Easter eggs.
His reward?
He got sacked.
It is nothing short of disgraceful.
@waitrose, do the right thing and give him his job back.
