What are your priorities in life? My job takes a lot of time but it provides money, kids are here for a season and I don’t want to miss it, I couldn’t make it through life without my wife but if I will put my Father first, I will have the time and money to do everything I desire
Do you think you’ll get anywhere in this life if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Just knowing what to say about faith doesn’t mean that a person really believes it. Talking about the Way is fine but living it will change the world!
What do I do when faced with one of my temptations and nobody’s around? What will it hurt? Nobody will find out, so why not? Here’s why not, I am a child of God and He gave His one and only Son to die for me so I could be free from all of that crap!
It’s not maturity when people go to work, get married, have kids, pay bills and progress through life. That’s called aging. Maturity happens when I control my emotions, be kind, stay modest, share wisdom, understand delayed gratification and appreciate the life God has given us!
The only person I can change is me and I have seen relationships improve because I made a change. I also have people in my life who have made me a better person because of the life that they live. A Godly life is contagious!
When I feel like somebody crosses me, I want to retaliate and I have a big problem with impatience. But, I’m trying to be more agreeable, more sympathetic, more loving, more forgiving and more humble. Basically, I’m trying to be a blessing…I have a long way to go
”You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.“ I tripped over this good Word today and thought it might bless you too!
”Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.“ Going through tough times is not fun and I’ve never looked forward to taking tests but it’s good to know that there is a reward when I finally get to the other side.
When we don’t keep score at kids basketball games or give everybody participation ribbons, we’re not teaching our kids anything. They need to learn that to succeed, they need to work hard, not just show up. And, to live a Godly life, they need an actual relationship with Jesus!
There have been so many times when I have said exactly the wrong thing or something hurtful. I remember some and deeply regret them. I’m sure you can remember many more that I’ve forgotten but I want you to know how sorry I am. Yet another thing I’m working on.
I hope you’re living a life that reflects the Faith you have in God. Don’t live a fearful life, live a prayerful life. You are a child of God. So be strong, trust His Word and stay on the path He has laid out for you.
Once I become a follower of Christ, my life isn’t about me anymore, it’s about Jesus. If I will ever commit to this truth, I’ll spend less time worrying about what people think of me and instead, spend my days trying to glorify Him. Thank you Jesus!
I lie to myself all the time. I say that I’m good and I don’t really have a problem with my mouth or how I handle money or what my eyes focus on or or or…if I’m going to win my battle against sin, I have to get honest with myself first…I have problems and I need help!
Just sitting here thinking how Mayberry was such an idyllic time and place for me…life was slower and more simple. I like simple and I miss sitting on the porch talking. I sure could use a piece of butter pie, a glass of tea and a couple of stories from my sweet granny today…
The absolute most important journey in my life will be the one of self transformation. It can also be the scariest because it requires the biggest change of direction of my life. When I’m going under for what feels like the last time,Jesus offers a hand and gives me another chance
Wouldn’t it be good if we could start our day every day surrendering our will to Jesus?‘Your will be done’. And then checking the condition of our heart. Do I have a problem with guilt or anger or greed or jealousy? If so, I’m going to deal with it and take their power away!
Discipline, not desire or wishing upon a star will decide my future. So, I want to make sure I’m disciplined enough today to prepare myself for the next season. I’m doing my homework right now because I know there’s a test coming…
Dear Father, help me to focus on Jesus…not my problems, not my circumstances and not the difficulties. Help me to be who you want me to be and not care so much about the approval of others. Thank you for everything you have done for me!!
It’s always something…either my mower won’t start or my roof is leaking or I’m getting thrown into the lion’s den. God never promised an easy life when I chose to follow Him but He did promise that He will never leave me or forsake me and He won’t give me more than I can handle.
I never had a hard time deciding what I wanted my life to look like. And, for the most part, that has pretty much happened. The hard part for me was figuring out what I was willing to give up in order to get the things I wanted to accomplish
