Is $STONK the way we get trenches to believe?
Stonk allows you to pair a new launch against almost any other token (quote currency). By holding the new token, you passively earn “dividends” in the quote currency funded by transaction fees of people trading it.
At the moment @LaunchOnSF allows you to pair against @xStocksFi , @PreStocks, @Tessera_PE and @Backpack tokenised equities (30+ stock options) as well as practically any existing solana launched token using “custom”. This gives you an insane range of options. An option for every possible narrative at some point…
Reflection tokens are nothing new. But a major issue post-TRUMP is meme holding times and getting people to believe. I think earning “dividends” in tradfi markets for just holding goes a long way. Sometimes tech needs the right environment to thrive even if it’s not brand new.
Example: say I’m bullish robotics with the upcoming unitree IPO, I can buy a meme paired against @RoboStrategy $BOT and earn robotics exposure just by holding that meme.
If asteroid had to launch right now, you can bet on the SPCX paired token being the winner
There are others competing in this space, particularly flap on EVM. But Stonk is the only reputable one on solana, just got endorsement from @Raydium (see quoted post) and has partnerships building with tokenisation partners (like PreStocks).
At 8m mc, with fees established to do buyback and burns, and quick executing dev team, definitely something to watch.
Not a paid post (I’d never do these), I have a decent bag. Also I don’t know dev team and there is certainly risk (crypto is crypto) but this seems worth a punt. NFA and I will sell whenever I feel like it.
$STONK Pad, could create some of the most PvE events onchain.
Instead of trying to vamp every runner, people could launch a PvE runner paired to the main runner, just like how $MANLET is paired with $ANSEM. The beta play will push the alpha play instead of liquidity just getting rotated
Would be very interesting to see how this plays out.
it's always funny watching people overreact and irrationally panic dump high-conviction plays
yesterday, many panic sold their $PONS tokens because a Robinhood partner launched a new launchpad
so how did the day end for Pons?
1. 18,707 tokens were launched on Pons yesterday
that's 56.71% more tokens than the day before and 67.63% more than two days earlier
that's also a 6-day high for new tokens launched on Pons
2. Pons ended the day with $101.4 million of the total $138.2 million in launchpad volume across Robinhood chain
that's 73.4% of all launchpad volume on Robinhood chain
for context:
• there are about 59 launchpads on Robinhood chain, yet Pons still did nearly 3x more volume than the other 58 launchpads combined yesterday, even after this new launchpad went live
• just one week ago, Pons had a 53% market share. over the past week, it has averaged a 62.5% market share
3. Pons ended the day with $162.5k in revenue
• this is more or less in line with what it has been generating over the past week
• it's even more impressive considering yesterday was a weak day for both BTC and equities, while Robinhood chain activity also cooled somewhat
4. Pons burned 4.29 million tokens over the last 24 hours
• that's above the 7-day average of 3,353,716 tokens per day
• there's still roughly $350k sitting in the buyback wallet, and it's being replenished very quickly through new fees
5. Pons v2 should turbocharge the Pons narrative
• v2 has the potential to increase Pons' market share and strengthen its dominance by allowing tokens to be paired with stocks, stablecoins, and a variety of other assets
• v2 should also maximize revenue for Pons and could potentially double revenue, all else being equal
• that could mean up to 2x more burns even if activity on the platform remains the same, which is remarkable considering Pons has already burned 22% of its token supply in just two weeks
• this is happening while $PONS trades at a 0.626x revenue multiple versus 2.4x for $PUMP, 5.57x for $AERO, 11.8x for $LDO, 22x for $HYPE, and 36.9x for $UNI
• in other words, $PONS is already significantly undervalued relative to other revenue-generating protocols, and v2 looks poised to make that valuation gap even wider
TLDR:
1. there is clearly room for several launchpads to thrive on Robinhood chain
2. every objective metric shows that Pons remains the clear leader and has so far been completely unfazed by the launch of a new competitor
3. if anything, Pons' fundamentals have only improved
and they're about to be turbocharged with the launch of v2 later this week
panic sellers will buy back higher
'Robinhood chain is dead on arrival'
'bonk guy keeps screaming about it because he got paid'
that's basically all i've heard since i started talking about the chain over the past two weeks
meanwhile, i'm up over 500% (more than $300k) in a week from a $67k investment in $PONS, the leading launchpad on Robinhood chain
the funny part?
people said i was 'late'
interesting story:
$PONS was first shilled to me in a trenches chat around a $300k market cap while Noxa was still the dominant launchpad
i ignored it because i had too much going on and was being pitched dozens of new tokens every day
the moment Noxa announced it was shutting down, i realized $PONS had a real shot at becoming the chain's dominant launchpad
by then, it was already around a $4m market cap
most people would've called that 'too late'
especially since they originally faded it at such a low market cap
i thought differently
i bought it around $4m market cap i.e. 13x higher than when i first saw it!
i bought more around $9m after my conviction increased
then i bought even more around $6.5m on the pullback after
today, i'm still up more than 500% on my average entry
the lesson?
people love calling everything 'too late'
instead of simply looking at the data:
• Robinhood chain has been one of the hottest and most active blockchains in crypto since its launch
• the largest token on the chain has only reached around a $200m market cap
• the leading launchpad controls roughly 67% market share, launches around 10,000 tokens every day, and is still only around a $28m market cap
• there still hasn't been a single $500m runner on the chain
to me, that doesn't look like a chain that is too late or dying soon
it looks early
you can be an armchair critic predicting every new trend will die because the last one did
or you can study the data and position accordingly
FOR THE CURIOUS:
the screenshot in this post is from the FOMO app, where i first entered my $PONS position
i've been taking a lot more trades there recently, including higher-risk trades that i don't post anywhere else
