It’s a wrap! Another BIO in the books. Great to see so many innovators driven by purpose!!
An interesting data point: Anthropic is hiring chemists, I guess we are still important. ;)
I just “drove” with autopilot from Redwood City to San Diego for BIO. First stop was at a Tesla Supercharger station which had complimentary olive oil tastings from an adjacent local farm. Second stop was in funk town for some Handlebar cappuccinos in Santa Barbara. Thanks @elonmusk and @Tesla, that was epic!
@docrodwong 100%. If there is new material data that is relevant to the program under review, then leadership should absolutely step in and ensure the right course of action. However, if the flip-flop is driven by personal opinion, you no longer have a functioning system.
@grantsdotgov@WhiteHouse@realDonaldTrump Im sorry, but the https://t.co/Hlj1B8ci2u website and eRA application process is a complete disaster. You have a system that checks for errors, flags false errors and sends application back. Lists and checks for required attachments (but not all required attachments?). When given a green light for submission, system accepts and processes. Only to kick back days later on a technicality.
@RighttoTryGuy@US_FDA If done with proper controls, this could lead to an incredible acceleration in the development of breakthrough therapies for patients in need. This is exactly the type of thinking we need to have to achieve faster development times for innovation.
for folks my age thinking about most impactful things u can do to improve ur health and longevity. getting the shingles vax is high on the list. why is it working? top theory is the latent virus in most of us causes chronic brain inflammation. i just got my second shot.
@Microsoft Deep Seek partnership??!! Why? They are lightyears behind OpenAI and Anthropic. If you did a deal with Anthropic, you would leap frog Google.
Re $QURE news, I texted w/ Lauren Holder, a Huntington’s disease advocate who is also living with the early stages of the disease. Here's what she said:
“I'm literally crying right now. I'm so happy that I don't even know how to put what I'm feeling into words.”
She added, “This is the best-case scenario for our community,” she added. “This happened because of advocacy. This happened because dedicated patient advocates refused to give up, because this community continued to show up, speak up, and fight, even when it felt like no one was listening. Today, it feels like we were finally heard."
Amazing! What an incredible turn of events for patients with Huntingtons Disease. BLA to be submitted by September. Last year’s data is the primary basis. https://t.co/O7zjUiXjfX
@Saul_Sadka The flags displayed here represent unity, we stand to unite the people of the world. The terror from a few will not deter the 99% that will come together to make this world a better place for our children to thrive in.
