For the first time Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with pomp and show. Skits,painting competition, felicitation of district level winners was held at sports stadium Budgam. DDC chairman,Deputy Commissioner, ADDC,ADC were present on the occasion.

Renaming of schools under progress in Budgam. High school Sugin named after Sgct Gh Mohiddin and Boys MS Khag named after ct Shabir Ahmed. Two grand functions were held in presence of family members ,PRI members,ZEO Khag ,staff and students. CEO Budgam was the chief guest.
