Starling murmurations (common in Italy & Spain) give you an idea why the Romans based much of their augury on the flight of birds. Watching one is almost a religious experience.

A while back, I posted a thread about how hard writing is, that got some traction (which I can't find rn b/c Twitter isn't easy like that). Well, a month later, as I predicted, I finished that essay. And today, that essay got rejected from the journal I submitted it to. (1/)
