This Sudan civil war has been going on for almost four years now, and honestly, it still makes zero sense to me. Two rival generals are tearing the whole country apart tens of thousands already dead, over 14 million people displaced (that’s a quarter of the population), famine everywhere, and reports of terrible ethnic violence and sexual atrocities keep coming out.
Yet almost nobody is talking about it. While other conflicts get constant headlines, Sudan barely gets a mention. Aid appeals are underfunded, real diplomatic pressure is almost nonexistent, and the world just seems to look the other way as an entire nation gets destroyed over a pointless power struggle.
It’s heartbreaking and infuriating at the same time. At some point we need leaders who actually push for serious negotiations that protect civilians and bring some stability, instead of letting this tragedy drag on forever with no end in sight.
Why does one of the worst humanitarian disasters of our time get ignored like this?

This US-Iran war just doesn't make any real sense to me. We're now on day 46 with a shaky ceasefire barely holding, failed talks in Pakistan, and the US navy enforcing a blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. Lives are being lost, oil prices are spiking, global markets are getting rattled and for what?
Neither side seems to have a clear, realistic endgame in sight. It's all reactive moves and posturing instead of serious diplomacy that could actually bring lasting stability.
At some point, someone has to ask: is this really worth the cost to everyone involved?
