Our workers on the row are being laid off due to COVID-19. It is up to us to support them financially. Many of our staff are worried about rent payments, are single parents, and need supplies during this uncertain time. DONATE NOW: https://t.co/IhgwwrEAp8
BREAKING: New study in Nature Climate Change shows that academic research funded by fossil fuel companies is biased.
Biased against renewables and toward promotion of fossil gas.
Given Big Carbon's big money in academia, this should raise alarm bells.

This is outrageous and yet not at all surprising. The yellow is the “actual rise” in violent crime in NYC. The purple is coverage of it. This doesn’t even count the $50 million GOP spent on ads lying to people about crime to influence their vote.
I was impressed that the Washington Post identified the impact of outsized & overblown news coverage on crime—and only certain kinds of crime—on peoples outsized fear & *perceptions of their own vulnerability to crime, *even where they perceived their own communities to be safe.
A Newsmax host is shocked to learn from a rail worker that they don’t get paid time off.
"Yeah, that does seem ridiculous. They would never let airline pilots do that. … I didn’t realize that. Wow."
Of all the no-brainer issues that would be really easy to address, not letting children go hungry in schools or putting 7 year olds into debt or publicly shaming them for said debt is near the top
Tonight I went to my son’s open house. The cafeteria went over lunch/breakfast costs. For 1 child to eat breakfast & lunch daily= $140/mo. I saw the look of panic in many parents eyes who didn’t realize the free lunch program had ended. Universal free meals @ school must happen.
This is astonishing, yet not surprising. If it feels like you're far less safe in NYC than ever before, it's not bc shootings are up. It's because the media (fueled by lies & fearmongering by NYC Mayor Eric Adams) is up. Look at this chart. Red line is shootings. Grey is media.
Nancy Pelosi’s husband just bought $5 million dollars in Nvidia stocks while she is pushing congress to vote for a bill that’ll give $53 Billion dollars in subsidies to semiconductor companies, where Nvidia will get the largest share of that money.
Here’s how the abortion laws affect pregnant women who want their babies. For those still refusing to see how this affects ALL women, read Chloe’s story:
The clinic staff spent Friday canceling the appointments of 60-70 patients scheduled for abortions in the coming weeks.
“Some patients broke down and could not speak through their sobbing. Some patients were stunned and didn't know what to say. Some patients did not understand.”
Sabrina Ionescu finishes with unbelievable numbers! 🤯
🔥 26 PTS
🔥 90.9% FG%
🔥 100% 3P%
The only player in #WNBA history to record 25+ points, 8+ rebounds, and 8+ assists on 90%+ FG in a game!
Love how we can't ban guns bc it creates a ~dangerous~ black market and won't solve anything but we can ban abortion, jail people for smoking weed, and take trans kids away from their parents and these things are all very good and necessary
.@NYCMayor on the mango vendor who was handcuffed at a subway station in Brooklyn: "Next day is propane tanks being on the subway system. Next day is barbecuing on the subway system. You just can't do that."
Henry Cuellar was the only Democrat to vote with Republicans against codifying #Roe.
I’ll always stand for our health care and the right to choose. In 21 days, Cuellar & I will face off in the Democratic runoff.
Let’s defeat the last anti-choice Democrat in the US House. #TX28
From (potentially) the biggest protest movement in US history in 2020 to this current crime panic/backlash, the politics of policing changes a lot. But policing outcomes don’t, because police departments are institutionally insulated from democratic inputs.
