Republicans are in charge because we promised:
to Make America Healthy Again.
to start No New Wars,
to put people above corporations,
to put America above foreign countries,
to release the Epstein files,
to not spy on citizens,
to eliminate fraud,
what the hell happened?!
I don’t understand this economy.
Nursing homes are so expensive they bankrupt our grandparents, yet nursing home aides rely on food banks.
Daycare costs so much it can consume an entire paycheck, yet daycare workers often need second jobs to survive.
College leaves students buried in debt, while professors struggle to afford housing.
Everything we need is astronomically expensive, and yet so little of what we pay seems to go to the people actually doing the work.
If you can’t tax billionaires and trillionaire because “its unrealized gains until they cash out,” then stop letting them leverage that wealth for loans, as collateral, or as equity.
If it’s not real enough to tax, it shouldn’t be real enough to leverage.
This is why we say the system is rigged in favor of the super wealthy. Abolish billionaires, tax them out of existence, protect working people.
American Christians face a choice.
Not between Republican and Democrat. Not between conservative and progressive.
But between two very different visions of Christianity.
One vision sees faith primarily as a tool for power. It celebrates strength, domination, cultural warfare, and victory over enemies. In this worldview, cruelty can be excused if it serves the "right" cause.
The other vision is rooted in something older: the belief that every person bears the image of God. It is the Christianity that cared for widows, orphans, strangers, and the sick. The Christianity that values truth over propaganda, humility over pride, service over status, and character over power.
Jesus did not wash the feet of His disciples because He lacked power. He did it because He understood what true leadership looks like.
The future of Christianity will not be determined by who wins the next election. It will be determined by whether Christians choose the path of the warrior seeking power or the path of Christ, who came to serve rather than be served.
History suggests that whenever the Church becomes obsessed with political power, it loses its moral authority.
And whenever it returns to the teachings of Christ, it changes the world.
#BREAKING: Talarico: “Texans are struggling right now, in a way that we haven’t struggled before, and again it’s not to afford nice things, it’s to afford the basic things, the necessities, groceries and gas and insurance…and so the fact that politicians including our sitting U.S. Senator @tedcruz are throwing embarrassing cheap nicknames at their political opponents inInstead of focusing on improving Texans lives. To me that’s everything that’s wrong with our politics, and it’s why people are so fed up with this broken system…it doesn’t actually improve their lives…It looks a lot more like pro wrestling. You’ve got these old guys lathered up in their fake tan throwing cheesy nicknames at each other and those nicknames don’t lower the cost of groceries…and so I’m going to keep talking about the things that Texans actually care about. I’m going to keep proposing solutions to make their lives easier and better…and ultimately I think that’s going to win the day in our state in November.” 👏👏
At least 88 corporations paid $0 in federal income tax last year.
Those 88 corporations also happened to spend $852 MILLION on political lobbying the last three election cycles.
They're essentially making a 3,000% return on investment.
The system is rigged.
RFK Jr has cut Alzheimers research.
Alzheimers.
One of the most devastating, urgent and increasing health problems we face today.
He's not interested.
He's a nasty piece of work.
@uplatedrinkin@SeeRacists@GeanineHudson Honestly yep.
It's always some inbred, uneducated, toothless white people in deep red states.
They'll all say they're sorry, have found God, and repented their sins now that they've been caught. Blame their childhood for their actions.
It's always the same.
@MastrXYZ There's nothing more masculine than admitting that one tiny furball of love has been with you forever, and it hurts to lose her.
They aren't just pets.
They're loyal friends, adventure buddies & secret keepers.
They're our life companions.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Imagine waking up tomorrow and every billionaire vanished.
Most people would still go to work.
Food would still be grown.
Roads would still be built.
Hospitals would still operate.
Now imagine every worker vanished.
That's the difference between wealth and value.
For decades when taxing the rich was proposed voters were nervous because they thought the rich would leave or not innovate. Are we over that yet? The rich will never not try to make money & the more we let them evade taxes, we will lose. Tax the rich & get money out of politics.
Instead of discussing how Elon Musk is now the world's first trillionaire, we should talk about how he killed hundreds of thousands of people through his dismantling of food and medical aid to poor countries
