Some people wait for the world to change. Others change it—quietly, fearlessly, and without asking permission. Atty. Kristina Conti is one of them.
She isn't seeking headlines or chasing influence. She is simply doing what she was trained and called to do: to stand beside the most powerless, even when it means standing alone.
To those who insult, red-tag, and attempt to strip her of her dignity: your actions reveal far more about yourselves than about her. This is how the enemies of justice operate. When justice threatens them, they call it subversion. When a woman raises her voice, they try to shut her down. And when a lawyer serves without fear, they brand her a danger.
Pero malinaw sa atin kung sino ang tunay na panganib: ang sistemang takot sa katotohanan.
I have met and dealt with HR defenders like Atty. Conti. I've stood trial while they stood with me. I know the cost of choosing the harder path: the fabricated charges, the relentless attacks, the attempt to break one’s spirit. And I also know this: no troll army can outlast the quiet persistence of someone who believes in justice.
Hindi siya ang problema. Siya ang paalala na hindi pa tapos ang laban.
We owe her not just our words, but the shield of our collective defense. Let no lie drown out her truth. Let no attack go unanswered. Because when a woman defends the voiceless, especially when it costs her so much, the least we can do is defend her back.
Hands off Atty. Kristina Conti!
