A fascinating presentation on Greek printing from the 15c (outside Greece) to the 19c (in Greece) and the safe guarding of Classical knowledge, presented by colleagues from the Laskaridis, Onassis and Gennadius libraries.
I am happy to say the papers will be published and the posters will be published on the CERL website. Sorry the news of this event did not reach you earlier!
Excellent paper by @jdmccafferty conference of @CERL_org - on printing in Irish in 16c and 17c - a twin-track history. An unsurprising story, but set out with exemplary clarity & verve. Broadly: Protestant religious books become collectors’ items early on, and Catholic are used.
