@YuriSizov But it's a large community and I read a lot of positive comments from people who support you, surely you can find a space that suits you with people who are positive about your work and your part of the community? But again, I've never been in your situation, so it's easy to talk
@YuriSizov Maybe it's because I have no experience being in a position you were at GF, but if your ambitions are not to get back as a contractor, does it really matter if there were people who had beef with you in the past? Then again, it may be hard being around the people who sacked you.
@YuriSizov I remember you made some seriously quality content and from what I gather you have a standing with a lot of people in the community. If you're fine being a part without filling an official role, I don't think the doors are closed. Unless you got banned from the project that is.
@YuriSizov I am only vaguely aware of what was going on behind the scenes, but out of curiosity: In your current situation, what do you want to do right now? You were let go as a paid contributor, but if you want to be part of the community, would you be fine contributing as volunteer?
@MrSunsHatbox There were some other bugs along the way. For some reason the people assigned to different rooms doubled after some playtime, which made the game way too easy. I also witnessed some locks that seemed to get worse the longer I played. Shame really because the game is amazing.
@reduzio I use the internal editor but dislike the clunky way scenes and scripts are unconnected. The scripts are usually tightly coupled to nodes and I'd like this better reflected in the editor. Also I don't like the way doc pages are mixed into the scripts list.
@MoMutrz@reduzio My position entirely. I wanted to contribute to make pixel games better in 4 but I'm just a newbie to the code base at this point. If there was some organized effort to improve Godot in this respect I'd be happy to contribute in any way I can.
@reduzio@MoMutrz I have been trying to advocate for more natural support for pixel perfect games but my impression was that the community considered pixel games just a subset of regular 2d games where the specifics of pixel perfection just needed a few workarounds.
@mikekasprzak@Dropbox@OpenAI Are you sure this is a good idea? I think you might be the one in trouble if you share information under NDA with a service that has this in their TOS:
@jasongordy_dev @GuitarKidGames @bitbrain Maybe to clear one misconception: GDScript is *very* close to Python so syntax-wise your argument about finding help online pretty much holds with GDScript.
The main issue would be getting help for the Godot API but that won't be any different for C#.
@Valkrysa@reduzio I was under the impression that 3rd party companies offer to port your game for you which sits wrongly with a lot of devs because they want to stay in control.
Having a dedicated paid for console exporter would be great but I wonder if it's technically or legally feasible.
@Valkrysa@reduzio So it's more a motivational and less a legal issue? So with enough leverage they might change their minds?
So would it be possible for a commercial company to develop a Godot plugin and sell that as a product like the console plugins for Unity and Gamemaker?
