Shoving bacon between pages of the Torah would clearly be a hate crime and would also get global media coverage and politicians everywhere would condemn such a despicable act, yet
The treble/quadruple Arsenal talk started in January if not before
That's setting an impossible bar that's been reached almost never in football history.
If they win the Premier League, that IS a massive success. Reaching the CL quarter-finals, on the back of the semis last year, IS success. They are growing.
Comparing them to the greatest sides in history and then criticise them every time they fall short, more than holding them to high standards, is IMO just a way to deny them credit for what they're actually achieving.
Having said that, today is certainly a disappointment.
Both statements are true.

In Britain, we believe in freedom of religion, and freedom of worship. The Carnegie Library in Abergavenny is grade ii listed and has been empty for a decade. Muslims are currently meeting in the parish hall of the local Roman Catholic church, and would like their own place. The council has democratically agreed a 30-year lease, with building repairs to be carried out by the local Muslim community. If you don't want your library turned into a mosque, go there and read. If you don't want your church turned into a mosque, go there and worship. But to do neither, and then complain about a perfectly reasonable, democratic and provisional change of use for a listed building which satisfies a community need, bringing life where there is currently a void, is rather small-minded.
i saw these headlines and assumed he chanted death to israel or something, come to find out he said “i want to welcome all israelis and palestinians to this concert as equal human beings” oh the horror
Gary Lineker on Gaza, "It's the worst thing I have seen in my lifetime. Constant images day in, day out of children losing their lives."
"But the minute you raise your voice against it you get accused of being a supporter of Hamas."
Liverpool fell off last season because of injuries, City have struggled massively, Tottenham are in the bottom half, but for #Arsenal not to win a title in a year every single player has had an injury is unacceptable. Nice to see some common sense. #AFC
Remember when the British media attacked Mikel Arteta for handing a 15yr old school boy his PL debut pointing to the fact he did it for his own “personal agenda”. Fast forward two years he’s one of the best youngsters in the world.
