Rwanda's Teleport achieves Tier 3 Certification from the @worldteleport (WTA), becoming the second fully certified teleport in Africa and the first space agency-operated teleport globally to get WTA certification.
A milestone for Rwanda's space sector and a recognition of the country's growing capabilities in satellite communications infrastructure.
“Nuclear energy is increasingly recognised as part of the clean energy transition and that creates new opportunities. What Africa cannot afford is fragmentation. If countries work in isolation, progress will be slow and far more costly. Cooperation on regulation, financing, and regional power integration is essential. This is precisely why NEISA matters.
We are moving the conversation beyond ambition to practical coordination, and financing mechanisms that can sustain deployment at scale. Rwanda will continue supporting these efforts, because this is larger than any one country.” President Kagame | Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit for Africa (NEISA) 2026 - Opening Ceremony
It is unfortunate for a Human Right Commissioner to miss the basic principals of making an assessment taking into account all sides & lack the obligation of upholding Human integrity. Matters related to DRC should remain the responsibility and accountability of DRC leadership.
German govt's human rights commissioner went to Kinshasa & Beni in #DRC and says ending the war is a matter for #Rwanda only. No mention of ongoing peace processes, or that DRC govt is not honouring its own engagements, or even the disastrous human rights situation in DRC.
Thank you to my sister President @SuluhuSamia for the warm welcome to Tanzania and for the productive discussions.
Rwanda and Tanzania are not only neighbors but brotherly countries bound by history and a shared goal of prosperity for our people. Rwanda remains committed to building on this strong foundation by deepening our bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and regional integration.
I look forward to continuing our collaboration to achieve tangible results for our citizens and advance the East African Community.
As Rwanda remembers the more than a million victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, we sincerely appreciate the messages of solidarity received from governments, partners and friends across the world.
International solidarity, with the clarity expressed today, together with a genuine resolve to action, remain the bedrock of “Never Again”.

#EidMubarak to Muslims in Rwanda and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. May this celebration bring peace, hope, and blessings to every home, every country and region, and serve as a reminder of the importance of generosity, unity, and shared humanity.
➡️Rwanda's economy grew by 9.4% in 2025, outperforming projections and confirming the strength of our macroeconomic fundamentals.
The performance reflects consistent policy execution, prudent macroeconomic management, and sustained investment across productive sectors of the economy.
For businesses and investors, the signal is clear: we continue to provide a stable, predictable, and pro-business environment, anchored in strong institutions, ongoing reforms, and a clear long-term development vision.
Yesterday, RDB DCEO @JulianaMuganza joined a panel on “Business Strategy: Upended” at the @wef Industry Strategy Meeting hosted at Siemens’ global headquarters in Munich.
Muganza highlighted Rwanda’s journey to becoming one of the easiest places to do business, and the continued efforts required to remain competitive in a rapidly changing global landscape.
Today, President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame attended the @ATPChallenger 100 final in Kigali at IPRC Kicukiro, where Argentina’s Marco Trungelliti defeated Italy’s Marco Cecchinato to secure the title.
RDB CEO @afrika_jean was also present for the men’s singles final of the third edition of the tournament held in Rwanda. The ATP Challenger 100 followed the ATP Challenger 75 tournament held from 2–8 March, with both events attracting over 60 players from 20 countries competing in Kigali.
The sustainability of Rwanda's bilateral counter-terrorism deployment in Mozambique, if our forces are actually needed, depends on adequate, predictable funding.
This is what the European Peace Facility partly funds, and so far around €20m has been disbursed. The full cost to @RwandaGov is at least 10 times more, in addition to the ultimate sacrifice of loss of soldiers’ lives, all to stabilize Cabo Delgado.
Rwandan Forces went to Cabo Delgado in 2021 at the request of the Mozambican government, to work with a brotherly African country that needed the support, money was not the first consideration.
The results of this deployment are evident: civilians have returned to their homes, children are back in school, businesses reopened, mega foreign investments are secured.
To be clear, the work of RDF in countering terrorism in Cabo Delgado has benefitted the Mozambican people and the companies investing in LNG, and supporting that work is not a favor being granted to Rwanda.
Should the RDF Command assess that the work being done by Rwandan Security Forces in Cabo Delgado is not appreciated, they would be right to urge the government to end this bilateral counter-terrorism arrangement and pull out. @mattstephenhill
Happy Women’s Day!
“I urge you to carve your character carefully, define your boundaries, advocate for yourselves and other women and girls, and protect your physical and mental health. And please, love yourself with the same gentleness you give others – the same gentleness you wish and deserve to experience from the world.” - First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame

I wish to remind the @Europarl_EN that it may have jurisdiction over Greenland, Aruba or New Caledonia but it has NO (and will NEVER have) jurisdiction over the Republic of Rwanda, which is a country that recovered its independence from European colonisation more than sixty years ago.
Rwanda will never accept this continued arrogance and interference by European MPs, who think that they are endowed with higher moral values, to the extent that they can even disrespect the Judiciary of an African country.
We thank Chairman Smith and the Committee for their attention to this important matter. Rwanda’s position is simple: our national security is non-negotiable. After decades of cross-border genocidal threats from FDLR and allied militias, defensive measures are about protecting lives not politics. Peace must be built on real security.
Full statement for the record by @AmbMukantabana : https://t.co/hsdUskrsXc
This is pure #Rwanda pre-94 genocide anti-Tutsi hate speech - coming from the #DRC army spox. Ending military collaboration with FDLR isn't enough. It's a genocidal mindset which needs to go for the region to find peace.
Statement on Somalia
Kigali, 28 December 2025
Rwanda fully aligns with the statements issued by the African Union and the East African Community in support of Somalia, and encourages the pursuit of a path forward based on shared peace and prosperity, in accordance with international law.
