I want to thank @potus and his administration - particularly @SecretaryBurgum of the Department of the @Interior, and @SecRollins of the @USDA for their support in working with me to make available three of our most visited landmarks: the San Juan National Historic Site - including Fort San Felipe del Morro and Fort San Cristobal as well as El Portal Visitor’s Center at El Yunque National Forest - to ensure this unnecessary shutdown doesn’t continue impacting economic activity and tourism on the Island.

We have reached an agreement between federal and local agencies to open the doors of these sites through a temporary infusion of local resources.
