We purchased a cruise during a Black Friday promotion for travel on March 15, 2026. The offer turned out to be misleading.

This experience felt manipulative and misleading. We are sharing this so others remain vigilant and do not go through the same frustration. Unfortunately, in situations like this, the consumer ends up losing while the company does not.

We ended up with a smaller ship freedom, fewer days, a higher price, and no balcony, which was included in our original reservation.

Two weeks before our trip, we discovered that we had been misinformed the Oasis was in fact sailing on the exact dates we initially wanted.

Given the situation, I requested a refund of our deposit, but was denied because more than 24 hours had passed, per their policy. Not wanting to lose our money and with my daughters already excited we felt pressured to book another cruise.

I attempted to correct the booking, but the representative informed me that the Oasis was not sailing on the dates we originally selected (March 15–21, 2026). She offered an alternative at the beginning of March, but that did not work for us due to my daughter’s vacation schedule

@RoyalCaribbean We specifically selected a sailing on the Oasis and placed a $400 deposit. However, when we went to complete the payment, we were told the booking was actually for March 15, 2027, on a different ship and for fewer days.
