As displacement rises there is a growing need for joint humanitarian efforts to support affected communities. Coordinated by Baidoa ABC , CESDO joined SOS , ACF, GREDO, IOM ,SwsMoEW and WASH cluster in a coordinated distribution of hygiene kits and plastic sheets in Baidoa .
Drought has affected communities in SWS, but for women, the struggle doesn’t end there . CESDO, with the support of SHF, stands alongside women who continue to shoulder these realities by playing a critical role in sustaining their households despite prolonged climate shocks
On Wednesday met with new Food Security Cluster partners for Somalia Humanitarian Fund @shf_somalia in South West State.
The goal was Safeguarding humanitarian assistance together.
We focused on strengthening aid delivery through:
• Clear criteria for selecting beneficiaries;
• Transparent disbursement modalities;
• How to handle Village Committees role;
• Agency Staff training to prevent fraud;
• Using biometrics & such as the Single Register forms of IOM for accountability.
