And I know that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Really, my taxes pay for it. But knowing that everyone has access to quality health services without getting bankrupt is priceless.

Universal healthcare should be a human right. Tax us all. But specially, TAX THE RICH.

The NHS is hands down one of my fav things of the UK. My baby is always seen by a GP (for free) on the day any serious symptoms appear, and we get free prescriptions. All for free!

Things I’ve done today to make my baby cry:
- changing her wet nappy
- adding a layer of clothing to keep her warm
- going to the kitchen for food
- sneezing
- having dinner
- speaking to her dad

Also, this is a good reminder for all, that being a POC doesn’t automatically make you a decent human mor a fit leader.

Also, I am tweeting this as my baby is having one of the hardest days ever (so, sorry for the typos, life is hard rn). And it breaks my heart that parents are forced to chose between being there for their baby or make some rich people richer.
Capitalism without empathy is crap.

Can you imagine an employer wanting you to be back to work 6 weeks after giving birth in order to pay you a living wage? Otherwise you are stuck with £156 per week, which is less than what is needed to cover a rent.

That’s the reality for a lot of people in the UK, including me.

And I repeat, I am extremely lucky to have a support network. I just hope my luck doesn’t run out any time soon, otherwise I will be f*cked. All for wanting to have a baby –who is a delight and absolutely worth it–.

And I can just hope everyone is as lucky, or more, than me.
