Q: Did Crowley get everything he wanted in the end?
DT: "No. No. He was evaporated. And then someone who looked a bit like him met someone who looked a bit like Aziraphale, but it's not the same thing."
So… we finally have the evidence for those who deny the evidence 🧘♀️😇
Our lives are hard enough, and many of us may never get the happy ending we dream of. So why choose the same fate for two fictional characters in a fantasy comedy about immortal beings? Why not give us at least that bit of hope?
the main character suffering their whole life just to die at the end of the story gotta be my least favorite thing in fiction ever. i don’t care how realistic it is
they managed to destroy all the magic. on may 12, i walked past the bench and thought «they were here!»
after may 13 i walk past it and think «they were never here at all» not on this bench, not in berkeley square, not at the bandstand. nowhere.
S1/the book gave EVERYONE a happy ending, down to Lesley or the callcentre workers that Terry insisted had to be revived. S3 gave NO ONE a happy ending and instead gave us a new, different universe and expected us to be happy with those characters we don't even know #GoodOmens3
They had no idea any of them would be reincarnated. Two guys just decided on behalf of their entire species that they were all irredeemable and should be wiped out.
Why do they have the right to decide that?
@imhugeineurope@clairegallagher I've really got to the edge of what I can say now. But... the absence of Rob doing the publicity rounds or talking excitedly about it on social media should probably tell you a lot. I'm sorry I can't shed any more light than that.
Since you guys seemed mostly positive towards me continuing with the alternate ending, and I’m currently at the airport, trying not to fall asleep before my flight, have a quick guide to the subtle differences I’ll be including in comics going forward to indicate the timeline.
