@Zmei_Hhsss Tbh people who want to work at a university aren't in it for money. They're driven purely by passion. If they wanted, they could instead work at research lab of Google Deepmind or Meta AI and make huge bucks. But then they would lose academic freedom and be tied to company vision
@guyfromhills JioHotstar is actually a decent streaming service imo. They have pretty good collection of tv shows like Succession, Hacks and GOT and I've never faced any issues with their streaming app.
@Yashagarwal9911 It's not about the cost, it's about the substandard service - only allowing 720p while advertising it as 4k, reducing device limit from 3 to 1 a day before opening, people not being able to log in, the lagging issues...
You're going to charge βΉ800 at least have basic competence
@Devanshrao7@hydrationmis Dude afaik it's not 1080p. They've just renamed 720p as 1080p. And they're showing 480p or 360p for 720p. Ek number ke chutiye hai.
@Vkp58446053@Shreya469228360 Should've bought VPN from get go. Most VPNs are worth βΉ1000+ per month. Now there's no point buying it unless you're a die hard football fan.
@bujem22 Don't forget they forced us to buy 3 months subscription for a world cup that's going to end in 41 days. Scamming ki bhi seema hoti hai.
I feel I should've just bought a VPN. The BBC and itv are showing it for free if you're from the UK π
#FifaOpenerOnZEE5
If anyone's not able to watch FIFA WC on Zee5, switch to Opera browser it works there, it seems it doesn't work on Chrome.
On a side, as a developer, I'm sure these morons must've vibe coded their streaming service π€¦πΎ
@Lunatic_Joker23@p_chandu99066 Ikr. How shameless can you be to sell the FIFA World Cup in 720p in 2026!π
Wonder if they underestimated the traffic and then capped it. The streaming app kept forcing me to watch it in 240p several times so there's that π€·πΎ
@GodPlaysCards I'd recommend The Return of the King by William Dalrymple. It's about the British invasions of Afghanistan and the Great Game between Britain and Russia. Really fun and informative.
@Surendar__05 They're not really open source tho, right? Maybe for general use. Pretty much all of them require subscription or API.
But at least they're cheaper than Claude or Open AI
