@d1ApRiL For reference, here's the repository https://t.co/2WTO0ioqZs

@d1ApRiL Would you be ok with me setting up a true to the original version of https://t.co/0KsJxoQxC3 serving archived player statistics? I started throwing something together using original HTML/JavaScript/images from https://t.co/ihMJPhDtEi and player statistics I archived.

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@i3D_net You recently started hosting game servers for Battlefield 1943. How would I go about renting a private server?

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@TalostheCat Note: If you are actively playing on either platform, a stats update is triggered automatically. It checks online players every 2 minutes and makes sure their stats are up to date.

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

If you played #Battlefield Bad Company, 1943 or Bad Company, make sure your stats are archived before online services are shut down in December.

@TalostheCat Worked flawlessly for me.

"Good news, Talos the Cat: You are already on the list! Your stats were last updated 5 days ago." [PC]

@TalostheCat What's your in-game name and platform?

@Sabamika1 @LumpyTheCook EA has tolerated similar projects for Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, 2, 2142 and more for close to a decade now. As long as you a) don't make money with their IP and b) don't make it look like something official and c) don't provide the game itself, they probably won't interfere.

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@Sabamika1 @LumpyTheCook You will be able to continue playing Bad Company 2 on PC via https://t.co/a3cIXHPzoV

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@vig1lanteql @LumpyTheCook @PoweredbyidTech Impacts all platforms. But there is a community project providing continued access to Bad Company 2 on PC. You can even import your EA soldier stats. See https://t.co/a3cIXHPzoV

@blowfentatcops @LumpyTheCook EA started delisted the games in stores in April, they are long gone. Only way to obtain copies is by buying keys/codes (which should still work after the shutdown).

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@TalostheCat Could you be more specific? Is it not finding your account?

@d1ApRiL I got stats for 1943 and Bad Company working, but I don’t know which stats attributes are available. Did you ever research those games? @d1ApRiL

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@d1ApRiL You don't happen to have an old dump of the https://t.co/0KsJxoQxC3 database flying around? I'm trying to back up all player's stats before EA inevitably shuts down the backend. Having a list of player ids would help a lot.

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@d1ApRiL Would be awesome if you could share the FESL stats keys/attributes for 1943 and Bad Company if you still have them somewhere.

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

@CaptSedaris @EA @Battlefield I played a few rounds of good old rush last week. Still great fun!

[@[email protected] @cetteup]

.@EA will shut the @Battlefield: Bad Company 2 backend services on December 8th 2023. Let's archive player statistics for as many players as we can.
