Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie is urging residents to work alongside the NSWMA through the CALM initiative.

CALM- Clearing flood-prone areas, Advising residents, Leveraging community leadership, and Maintaining a presence throughout the hurricane season.

The NSWMA launched its hurricane preparedness cleanup in Rocky Point and Portland Cottage today to reduce flood risks.

When I was young the word 'discipline' had a negative connotation to it, almost adjacent to conformity or submission. Maturity taught me that discipline, especially self-discipline, is the fuel you need to make it in life as an adult. You can't achieve anything without principle.
