Something that's never been drawn before. Something EVERY Krystal fan should get a kick out of: Our blue vixen escaping her doomed home planet, Cerinia. I commissioned @Blackbear_972, and he delivered! @VixenVotaries@BlueVixenNews@ayano_harumaki
The results of Source Gaming's Smash 6 poll for #StarFox newcomers are in. Not only did Krystal easily win this one, she's also the highest voted single character across all the polls SG has done so far for this video series. @Nintendo@Sora_Sakurai@RealKrystalFox@BringBackKrys
Getting some basic answers regarding Krystal from Nintendo or people who worked with them is probably harder than getting top-secret classified info on nuclear codes at this point. Regardless, giving up is not an option!
Surely you can understand it's not easy to see our favorite character not appearing and no one is even explaining why. We all know how popular Krystal is and she could help bring new people to the fandom. So if there's a reason for her absence, her fans would love to hear it.
@ima_1966 Do you know if something happened that changed Miyamoto's mind on Krystal? He was excited about her and so he kept her around back then. But what about now? Did he ever mention her in the last decade when you still worked with him or did she never even cross his mind?
You might not be allowed to talk about this and I don't want to bother you, but who else can I ask? This is coming from a 'forgotten' part of the fanbase that was introduced to the series through the GameCube titles, but has been left in the dark for 20 years now.
Despite all that, her character easily survived in the fandom and remained popular. The only SF character that comes somewhat close to her popularity is Wolf. If they released merch for her right now, even with no proper game appearance, it'd likely outsell the other SF merch.
It's mind-boggling that people actually say Krystal is not popular and there is no demand for her. Now, one thing I do admit is she's no longer at the peak of her popularity. That would have been around 2007-ish. But she is still more popular than the rest of the SF team easily.
Always remember that Krystal, in comparison to the other SF members, was literally treated like shit by Nintendo (with the exception of Assault). Can you imagine where she'd be if Nintendo had treated her equally while actually using at least some of her potential?
She should never have 'disappeared' in the first place. If things had been handled better after Assault, with her as a full & permanent member of the team while also becoming playable in Smash Brawl, she could now be one of @Nintendo's female mascots and SF would do better also.
@BringBackKrys My idea would be to create a separate Discord server just for this cause. There we can gather some ideas on what we can do to get Nintendo's attention.
I don't see why story and gameplay have to be so intertwined. It's not like you can only make a classic on-rails SF game exclusively with the Lylat Wars story. Like I said, I'd be more open to the classic formula if they at least made sequels again and brought Krystal back.
the series needs another attempt to go on-foot again
i think people’s over reliance on wanting star fox to always be an on-rail shooter and nothing more is exactly why nintendo keeps redoing the lylat wars story, and we need to get out of that mindset
