Why do people care so much that childfree people exist? To the point of insulting us? Have your kids, I don't care. I support your choice. But the fact that people get so ANGRY and hateful because we are happy with our decision and the benefits it brings us? Weird energy.
“But it's strange (and a bit sad) to think about your legacy and how you'll be remembered, and realize you simply won't be.”
Having children is not the only way to be remembered, and legacy can be so much more than children.
Don’t be sad for us, we’re fine.
#childfree
@cf_firecrackers True & I find that extremely sad.
For me, not wanting kids has nothing to do with politics or social matters, I just don't like kids, & yet my very choice to be childfree has been made political by others.
I never thought such a personal thing would be weaponized politically.
I’m 41, child free, financially independent, and living alone in Portugal.
I’ll be spending Thanksgiving on my own doing exactly what I want to do. My life has never been more peaceful.
Hot take: You don't need to have been married or have children to have valid opinions on marriage and parenting.
In fact, you should probably think about these things a lot before directly participating in either.
Funny how childfree women are criticized about everything we say, but no one ever tells mothers “how they gas each other up all the time about how wonderful motherhood is.”
No shade to moms (really! I’m not a mom hater), but these misogynistic double standards drive me nuts 🙄
@ChildFreeBC Jesus Ducking Christmas, have you seen the kind of content this person is posting on their profile? The same old racist, ableist, mysoginistic rhetoric we are forced to hear from individuals that think they are God.
I think you might need different friends 😂
