Even if you're not relentlessly bullied for being/suspected of being gay, the hiding yourself away, trying to appear straight can be just as damaging and life threatening. LGBT+ Education is so important #LGBTatSchool It can be the difference between life and death.

My then-friend told me she'd never be friends with a lesbian. There was no same sex relationship education and no representation. School was purely about surviving. I used to pray daily to God, who I was told saw my secret feelings as sinful, to make me straight. #LGBTatSchool

@CakeContent Interesting question! I think it's potentially prevelant for non binary identities, can make sure you're not addressed based on perceived gender due to your name. But it depends if you're ever going to address someone by their title. If you're not using the info, no to asking it

Last year we got a load of abuse when we added the rainbow flag to our profile picture.

We don't think homophobic abuse is acceptable and we stand with all those LGBT+ people we serve and employ 🏳️‍🌈
