What is the most important number you could be given to quickly evaluate the quality of any given team? But you only get one.

And we need fewer conf games not more. Everyone to 8! Then u require 3 fbs non conf to qualify for playoff

Now u get a decent sos and fans get the most out of top 25 conf and non conf matchups.

1. The reason every team is ranked 1 thru 4 and left out is explained clearly every year of the playoff and
2. With so few non conf games a reasonably valid sos is impossible. SOS has nothing to do with team quality. SOS makes it a beauty contest for those that make the sos model
