Why aren’t there more international college football games?🤔

College travelling parties can be upwards of DOUBLE that of NFL travelling parties and without a central body like the NFL overseeing it all, it can present a logistical nightmare.

🚨 Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby has been granted a temporary injunction against the NCAA by a Lubbock County court.

Sorsby, as it stands, WILL play in the 2026 season, but miss the first 2 games. However, the NCAA can appeal.

What’s the goal of the #CFBPlayoff and has that shifted as attempts to grow the participants have increased?

@DouglasTS No, especially in one-off game formats. Your record gets you a ticket into the tournament and then anything can happen (within reason).

@davidubben @ChrisVannini If the CFP is just a lucrative mini-tournament then can see the logic to more teams.
If it’s the mechanism to define the “best” team in a given year, it has to be tighter than 24. These are two very different things & those in charge need to decide what the CFP actually is now.

Is a 24 team playoff the right answer? I am not entirely sure what the question is…

If it is “How do we crown the best team in a given season?” No, you don’t need 24 teams for that.

If it is “how do we make the most lucrative post season possible”.
Then I can see the appeal, even if I don’t necessarily like it.

Are we solving for profit generation, sporting prestige or something else?

And are those in charge of college football solving for the same thing as us fans?

Northwestern's student section @NewRyanField is being modeled after the standing supporters sections in European soccer. Includes room for 2,000 behind the South end zone. Section is being built at 33 degrees (65% slope) with railings in place and seating for those who need them.
