NEW: Northwestern's $850 million Ryan Field will host its first high school game when New Trier and Evanston Township face off Oct. 16 👀
The two Illinois schools are separated by just one street — Isabella Street — making this a true neighborhood rivalry

Toured @NewRyanField this AM and experienced the enhanced sightlines that will be the stadium’s signature trait. A very unique facility and one with elements that could be modeled by others, as CFB stadiums are reimagined.
Thanks to @PatRyanChicago and the Ryan Sports staff.
Got a chance to do a hard hat tour of the @NewRyanField last month. I knew it was going to be awesome and it still blew my expectations away. It's going to be one of the premier stadiums in college football
Can't wait until it opens this fall!!!

@usatodaysports captures what makes the #NewRyanField different: a first-of-its-kind student hype tunnel, a student supporters section, and a stadium designed from the ground up for energy, intimacy, and home-field advantage
A first-of-its-kind student section for a first-of-its-kind stadium. The Wildcat Wall brings 2,000 students directly into the energy of the game at the #NewRyanField@FOS
Northwestern is creating a 2,000-student "Wildcat Wall" behind the end zone of its $862M stadium, modeled after European soccer supports sections.
"No one's ever imported a supporter section from European football to create a student section."
Northwestern's student section @NewRyanField is being modeled after the standing supporters sections in European soccer. Includes room for 2,000 behind the South end zone. Section is being built at 33 degrees (65% slope) with railings in place and seating for those who need them.
One Wildcat Wall.
One student hype tunnel.
One completely reimagined game day experience.

As Northwestern wraps up a second season of playing football at a small lakefront field shared with the lacrosse and soccer teams, workers are busy building out a new $862 million football stadium. https://t.co/FbjYwVSvZS
Loved having @BigTenNetwork on site. The #NewRyanField is 320,000+ sq ft bigger than the old stadium, but has the sightlines and intimacy of a basketball arena. Take a look at what we’re building, the best place in America to watch a football game or concert.
