NEW PURPLE LINE EXPRESS: NUFB looks Pretty Good! the new Ryan Field looks Pretty Great! will high ticket costs and luxury emphasis allow it to provide a true home-field advantage? will the cowards #RankNorthwestern? that and more: https://t.co/m2YGl6lUMJ
Welcoming back one of the most iconic teams in Northwestern history on Saturday 🫡
Stay tuned at halftime as the 2000 Big Ten Championship team will be honored.
@sugarfreeprimoz if only the cubs decided to invest some of their 600 million dollars in annual revenue into the product on the field instead of the continued nashvillfiication of wrigleyville!
the brutal dictator Dodgers who are ruining baseball are going back to the NLCS via homers from a homegrown international prospect and a guy who was most recently cut by the A’s. it’s not fair, the small market teams could never sign these guys!
Following the reaction on here to this article, Northwestern coach David Braun sent a note to Josie in support:
Braun wrote: “For the record.... I really liked your article! It was candid and your personal perspective. I'm glad you experienced the thrill of team spirit and did it with friends and community. When done right - this is what makes college football so special! Ignore the social media trolls and enjoy your Fall Quarter!
I hope you decide to learn the Fight Song and we look forward to having you at more games in the future. Go 'Cats!!”
it's been amazing to see @PatRyanChicago so involved, not only in the planning of the stadium but by responding to fan concerns individually on here since the opener. if you're reading this, Pat, I challenge you to drop these further and really have the place rocking on Saturday
Update here: NU has dropped the price of all remaining upper level tickets to $97.90 and are offering a $25 food and beverage credit per ticket for parties of four or more such seats. These tix had been priced between $125-$160 before the drop, so a step in the right direction.
The NRF is fantastic and could potentially shape homefield advantage going forward
But if an unbeaten B1G team that has sold out 400+ straight games can sell $50 tickets against the defending champs, there’s absolutely no reason the cheapest NU vs Ball St tickets should be $125
some lower level tickets have also been sold or otherwise distributed by NU, though the price was only dropped for the upper bowl. also plugging this month's PLE newsletter, which discussed ticket prices and their impact on home field advantage: https://t.co/HuyNrTnWng
