@sataro1234@BCrawford247@GoldeNDomerzz So then join a major conference or schedule 4-5 big teams in case 1-2 fall off. You can’t complain about handpicking your own schedule which you regularly do so to have a minimum record of 9-3. And are the only big school who has this issue (by choice)
@CarefreeDailyFC@CFCPys We should be able to survive 9 months without signing academy players. Let’s focus on improving the first team with experienced players that arent 36
@Arjunvsampath@ChrisWittyngham He probably just saw it wrong and thought the attacker was further ahead. The err of caution for offsides is not raising your flag on a goalscoring opportunity until the play is over and then checked by tech. It would have been ruled off even if on field ref didn’t call offsides
@madeleineebaker I do probably agree it should be more precise than it currently is. But it should never work like an exact clock to officially end the game. if you are on an attack the game just shouldn’t end when a clock hits zero
@madeleineebaker It just doesn’t have the same impact as it does in other sports since it’s lower scoring.. if you have to defend an extra 30 seconds - 1 minute and you let up a goal, that’s on you. It’s important in football/basketball for who can score last since, timeouts, shot clocks etc
@Arjunvsampath@ChrisWittyngham Likely just a good guess when it’s this close. Ref always makes a call live but if a goal is scored it’s always reviewed anyways. Not much different than NFL. Player dives into pile for a TD. Almost impossible to see on field, ref makes a call. TD is reviewed
@BremB38356@noamscheiber While the casual timekeeping seems odd, it doesn’t have as big an impact as you are making it out to be.
offsides hasn’t always been this precise and rule needs re-working with VAR. agree that goal should have stood.
The contradictions in other American sports are much worse
@TheCousinSal Most “soccer purists” I see agree that an offsides call like that is against the spirit of the game.
The MLB has blind umps making up strike zones they “feel” on every pitch for the last 100 years.
NBA refs call fouls whenever they feel like it.
All sports have unique issues
Don’t care if you rate him or not, Chalobah has been a great servant to Chelsea even when he was treated horribly by the club. Trev is a guy that clearly loves the club, if he leaves for Italy this summer I hope he does amazing.
