Seems like either no red cards or two red cards. Not at all clear to me how you could possibly give only one red card. PMGOL really is rotten to the core.
@slbsn Another one is the accelerator clauses. I can’t think of it now but it’s essentially the “but wait, there’s more” of persuasive writing. I see it all the time in tweets on law or legal analysis.
@SOCobhamPod@MattDaviesAdams@liam_twomey Very weird how often a Chelsea player looks like he’s just let off during a warm up drill. Just sort of fluffs a challenge or pass or receipt of the ball and then sort of jogs it off like “oops”
@AVInteraction Maybe he distinguishing between the Chelsea players he’s referring to and the ones he’s not. He enjoys playing with the higher caliber players at Chelsea but not necessarily the mids. 👍🏼💪🏼
Managers aside, Chelsea’s owners have spent almost £2bn since they took over in 2022. And I’ve still got some Chelsea fans telling me that my ‘expectations are too high’ 😂🤦🏻. The squad should be more than complete and ready by now, but it’s not 🤷🏻♂️
Arsenal are playing with the belief of champions. Arsenal are now really expressing themselves. They’ve become really good to watch. There’s a confidence and fluidity to them, knowing they can punish teams from open play, either through speed in transition, especially wide, or through their slick passing embodied by Odegaard. And they have the set-piece armoury.
Players all over the field taking responsibility from Raya in goal to Odegaard looking a real leader now. Odegaard MOTM against Chelsea. Leaders all over. Rice, Gabriel etc. That’s why they’re champions. Physically and mentally tough. That’s why they will believe they can resist Manchester City’s very obvious threat. Exciting title race in prospect.
Konsa looks like he’s been at Arsenal for ages. He’s slotted into a smooth machine, a brotherhood, a strong dressing-room. Konsa started with Mosquera absent. Arsenal have such strength in depth: Hincapie came on for Calafiori; Zubimendi for Lewis-Skelly; Gyokeres for Havertz; Merino for Odegaard; and Madueke for Saka. Left on bench: Bruno G, Eze, Dowman and Kepa. Plus Saliba and Timber to return. Yes, Arsenal miss an A-list left-winger and centre-forward. But they have so much talent/character. City will need to be at their very best to outlast them over the title course. #AFC #ARSCHE
I don’t think they’re cheating and I’m not blaming corruption, but no team I’ve ever seen in this league has never been allowed to get away with the type of thing this lot consistently get away with
Joao Pedro has been so bad this match. Repeatedly making poor decisions and looking like he’s not interested. Surprising and should be addressed by Chelsea writers after the match.
Lee Dixon in form. “Hopefully the referee lets the game flow without too many fouls.” Then “lots of free kicks at the moment which is good for the game.” Also identifies a simple “accidental kick to the face.”
Leave it to Arsenal to find a way to kick an opponent directly in the face without even committing a foul. PMGOL maybe running one of Mike Dean’s games, what can be done?
