Local 1911 faculty @AFTunion spent thousands purchasing equipment for Fall 2020 distance classes. @CoastCCD will not use CARES act $$ for reimbursements! They will use CARES $$ for losses from their private businesses (Swapmeet and Dorms) @CoastReport Do they care about students?

Local faculty who live in @RepKatiePorter dist. and @RepHarley dist. are very disappointed. Management at @CoastCCD @orangecoast @gwchb & @CoastlineInOC refuse to use CARES act funding for equipment required for teaching. Reimburse faculty equipment purchases for great teaching!

What about the largest higher education system on earth, the California Community College system. What are they doing with student grading? Any word from the state chancellor? @CCGRAdvocates

The California online college #calbright was not created by the normal legislative process. It was created because Governor Brown inserted it into his budget bill. #calbright receives over $5 million per full-time student! 5000 times more than cal community colleges @CFTunion

Many California Community College's are experiencing declining enrollment. They would be THRILLED to offer additional online and competency based education. Why do we need #calbright to offer these programs?
